About Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

This department offers basic courses of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering like Engineering Drawing, Thermal Engineering (Thermodynamics and Heat Engines), General workshop theory and practices (Operation and Maintenance of machine tools, metal cuttings, welding, forging, carpentry work etc.),Theory of Machines (Kinematics of Machines), Heat and Mass Transfer, Machine Design , Refrigeration and Air-conditioning and Electrical Circuit, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, Electrical Machines & Power utilizations. The department has well equipped laboratories and workshops with trained technical man power to cater the need of the student and research.

The workshop of the department is a nodal centre for the fabrication of various types of research models and prototypes as a part of project and research works.
