The following are the patents filed by Department of APFE, CAET
- Heat pump assisted dehumidified air tray dryer for drying fruits, vegetables, spices, medicinal and aromatic plants.
- Raw stone apple (bael) slicer
- Process technology for raw stone apple (bael) ready-to-serve beverage.
The department conducts regular training programmes for the farmers/ entrepreneurs on different activities related to post harvest technology and value addition. Besides the department also provides technical guidance to entrepreneurs, Self Help Groups (SHG) and NGOs for establishment of agro processing centres in the production catchment.
