The Department of Agricultural structures, civil and environmental engineering would like to be recognized nationally and world over as a high seminary of learning pertinent to machinery and systems engineering in the 21st century.

The Department of Agricultural structures, civil and environmental engineering was established in 1963 with the objective to teach the subjects related to Farm Structures Engg. to Under Graduate & Post Greaduate Degree Programmes as per ICAR norms.

The overall objective of the department is to train manpower through teaching and research in the field of Agricultural structures, civil and environmental engineering. The specific objectives of the department include

  • To generate the human resource for Agricultural Structures and related industries and organizations through Under Graduate Programme.
  • To abreast the students with mathematical, experimental and computational skills for solving different class and field problems.
  • To develop skills in the students required to design, development and modification of indigenous farm and agro-industrial machines.
  • To equip students with oral and written communication skills as well as to work effectively in a team environment.
  • To integrate academic learning with practices orientated experience through internship for career planning.
